A group of European economists and public intellectuals presented ‘European Solidarity Manifesto’ – a proposition to solve the current Eurozone crisis through a controlled dismantlement of the euro area via the exit of the most competitive countries and an agreement on a new currency coordination system in Europe.
Read the Manifesto with the list of signatories – see attachment below.
The group consists of several European economists from South, North and non-Euro EU countries, including Stefan Kawalec – President of Capital Strategy. The initiative is not connected with any political organization or party.
The idea presented in the Manifesto is developed in articles and books written by particular signatories, including:
Stefan Kawalec, Ernest Pytlarczyk, “Controlled Dismantlement of the Eurozone: A Strategy to Save the European Union and the Single European Market”, German Economic Review, February 2013.
